At Admiral we understand that everyone is different. That’s why we can help you to tailor your car insurance cover to your individual needs. We want to make sure that if something happens to you, you and your car are covered. That’s why we offer a range of additional covers to choose from: Personal Injury cover; Hire Car cover; Breakdown cover and National Service Network cover.

For our customers who pay by instalments, Instalment Protection Plan (also called Payment Protection or IPP) and Payment Holiday may also be of interest to you. These products are only available over the phone. Don’t hesitate to ask our friendly staff for more information about it. Please note, Payment Holiday and Payment Protection are only available with single car polices.

Admiral’s Breakdown Cover is exclusive to Admiral car insurance policyholders; it combines lots of great benefits, fantastic service and a great price.

have a recovery operator with you in 30 minutes

provide the fastest service for lone female drivers

have you back on the road as soon as possible

and we’ll pass on two telephone messages on your behalf

Admiral’s breakdown cover is supplied by Call Assist Limited (Axis Court, North Station Road, Colchester, CO1 1UX) who are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. The product is underwritten by White Rock Insurance Company PCC Limited (Cell BPI, PO Box 33, Maison Trinity, Trinity Square, St. Peter Port, Guernsey, GY1 4AT) who are authorised and regulated by the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.

How it works

Once you’ve added Admiral Breakdown Cover to your policy it couldn’t be easier to use.

You'll receive your Admiral Breakdown Cover details along with a card with our freephone breakdown assistance number.

As soon as you receive the card write your car insurance policy number and registration number on the back of the card as you'll need this information when you call us.

When you call us, in addition to your insurance policy number and registration number we'll need you to tell us the make, model and type of your car. We'll also need to know your location so we can find you as quickly as possible and your phone number so we can call you back to keep you informed.

The operator will ring you back to tell you which assistant will be attending and how long they will be.

How can I add Admiral's Breakdown Cover to my policy?

It really couldn't be easier - just call Customer Services on 0871 882 8201.

Can you pass on messages?

You don't have to worry if your breakdown has made you late for a meeting at work or if your family are expecting you at home - we're always happy to pass on a message for you!

Does my membership cover me or my car?

Cover is provided for the car shown on your policy schedule, whilst being driven by any of the drivers named on your policy schedule.

Am I covered if my car breaks down at home?

If you have National Plus or European Plus breakdown cover we will help you if your car won't start for you at home.

What happens if I lose my keys?

If you lose or break your keys give us a call and we'll be happy to help you.
