At Admiral we understand that everyone is different. That’s why we can help you to tailor your car insurance cover to your individual needs. We want to make sure that if something happens to you, you and your car are covered. That’s why we offer a range of additional covers to choose from: Personal Injury cover; Hire Car cover; Breakdown cover and National Service Network cover.

For our customers who pay by instalments, Instalment Protection Plan (also called Payment Protection or IPP) and Payment Holiday may also be of interest to you. These products are only available over the phone. Don’t hesitate to ask our friendly staff for more information about it. Please note, Payment Holiday and Payment Protection are only available with single car polices.

National Service Network

What is National Service Network (NSN)?

National Service Network (NSN) is the largest centrally controlled network of garages in the UK and Northern Ireland. Garages are constantly monitored and have to work hard to maintain their position in the network. The network has a fair pricing policy where prices are set by NSN rather than individual garages.

How do I become an NSN member?

Call us on 0800 118 1611 (for MultiCar please call 0800 600 880) and ask us about NSN Cover.

What are the benefits of NSN?

As an NSN member you may never have to deal with a garage again! You just need to make one call to NSN to arrange servicing, MOT or repairs. They’ll liaise with the garage and if the work on your car costs £50 or more, subject to availability, your car can be collected and delivered back to you at home or at work.

As prices are set by NSN rather than by the individual garages, you only have to pay for work that is really needed. A survey of 40 garages conducted by NSN in April 2007 showed that NSN is over 30% cheaper than main dealers in the majority of cases.

Why should I become an NSN member?

NSN members can save time and money by using the service. Not only do you benefit from NSN’s fair pricing (they’re over 30% cheaper than main dealers), but you don’t have to do any of the chasing and phoning around you’d normally expect when dealing with garages directly. You also get the reassurance of knowing that you’ll only be paying for work which needs to be done.

How do I arrange a service/MOT/Repairs?

Call NSN on 0844 770 4291 to make the most of your membership. They will book you into a local garage and answer any questions you may have about the service.

Calls to 0844 numbers will be charged at 5p per minute from BT Landlines. Calls from mobiles and other networks may vary.

Who do I pay for the repair work?

You pay NSN for the work and they pass on your payment to the garage. This helps NSN maintain consistent and fair pricing, making sure you’re not paying too much, or for work which is not necessary.

How do I pay?

NSN will take your credit or debit card details when you phone them to book your vehicle in. However, no money will be deducted from your card until the work has been completed.

What happens if the quote changes?

NSN will contact you directly with details of any changes to your quote, prior to any additional work being carried out. You can then decide whether you want to approve the extra work or not. If you decide not to proceed, you’ll only be charged for the work which was originally agreed.
